DECATUR — Mike Ladner, loving husband, son, father and grandfather died at the age of 53 on Saturday, March 26.

Mike attended Grissom High School and graduated from Athens State University with a degree in mathematics. He worked most of his later life in the missile defense industry. He loved camping, gardening, traveling, Auburn athletics, helping coach DHCA girl’s basketball and spending time with his family and friends. Above all, he loved the Lord. Mike was a member of Decatur Presbyterian Church.

Mike is survived by his parents Jim and Elizabeth Ladner; wife, Johnna Ladner; his children, Jacob and Erika Ladner, Braden, Macy, Nathan and Raleigh Ladner; his stepchildren, J.B. Bowling, Russell Bowling and Randi Jo Bowling; his grandchildren, Bennett and Hallie Ladner and Caden Cobb; and siblings, Kenny and Kellie Ladner and Donna Oliver.

A visitation will be held at First Bible Church in Decatur on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at noon with the funeral immediately following at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Decatur Heritage Christian Academy.
