John Gordon Hallum (1963 - April 23, 2006) was an actor in the Birmingham Children's Theatre company.

Hallum was the youngest of three sons born to Mickey and Isabelle Hallum of Huntsville. His mother died of cancer when he was 14. He graduated Grissom High School and then Auburn University in 1985 with a theater degree. He worked at the Boy Scouts of America National Museum in Kentucky and at Disney's Epcot Center in Florida before returning to Alabama to join the Children's Theatre in the 1990s. He was also diagnosed, in his early 20s, with diabetes

Hallum's first BCT performance was in "The Princess and the Pea". He appeared in numerous productions, finding his niche playing kings. In 2001 his left leg required amputation, as a complication from the diabetes. He began dialysis treatment in early 2006 and died of complications in April at the age of 43.

Hallum is survived by his father and stepmother, Pat, as well as his brothers and two half-sisters. His ashes were scattered at Seaside, Florida by friends.
